Who's in your Boob Squad? Scentered x Coppafeel bring you the Boob Brunch.

I was recently invited along to a virtual brunch held by Scentered in collaboration with Coppafeel to talk about their new campaign #boobsquad

As a lover of Scentered products and candles I jumped at the chance. But in amongst the amazing goodies we were all gifted; candles, balms, sports bras, and the brunch itself; was an emotional and inspiring talk by three wonderful women who had been through, or were going through the experience of breast cancer.

The collaboration between Scentered and Coppafeel was the brainchild of Lara Morgan, founder of Scentered. She says: “I feel so passionately about this cause. As a mother, who had my own scare, it gave me the horrible realisation I needed, that I had not in fact had the vital conversation with my own three daughters about how they should be checking their own boobs. All three of my daughters were under the impression they didn’t need to regularly check themselves, due to their age...it was my duty to explain how wrong they were.”

So what is the campaign about?

100% natural, mindful aromatherapy brand, Scentered, have teamed up with Coppafeel!, the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies. This partnership aims to help spread the charity’s message of the importance of early detection and checking regularly.

Show your boobs some love

So what are the missions for the Scentered x CoppaFeel! campaign?

  3. Encourage women to create a boob squad of 6 friends, sharing a box of 6 x Mindful Scentered LOVE Mini Aromatherapy Balms in the park / garden, etc to talk boobs and make the promise to remind one another once a month to ‘Show their Boobs Some Love’ - promoting the concept of #BoobSquad

  4. Text 'MELONS' to 70500 to make a one-off donation of £5 to CoppaFeel!. CoppaFeel! receives 100% of your donation. You will be charged one standard text message plus your donation amount. For full T&Cs, visit their website.

How do you create your own #boobsquad?

    create your own boobsquad

Kickstart your squad by hosting a get together of you and five of your squad outdoors (always stick to the Covid rules!)

You can also show your squad how much you love them by gifting them some exclusive campaign merchandise - why not buy them a Scentered LOVE balm or a phone card holder as a reminder? From now until June, Scentered will be giving out free CoppaFeel! stickers as well as a FREE Mini LOVE Balm with every purchase. Stick these on your mirror, wall, phone and even your shower to remind yourself to check your boobs once a month and show them some much deserved love!

It’s as simple as that - by supporting one another through

    How to check your boobs.

When was the last time you checked in with yourself? Like really, felt yourself? Think again... when was the last time you copped a feel? Did you know that only 36% of young women between 18-35 regularly check their boobs? (CoppaFeel! Research 2020)

We want to change this percentage.

Jenna, Partnerships Manager at CoppaFeel! said We are very excited to be supported by Scentered and their campaign which will raise crucial funds for CoppaFeel! and help us to spread our message of the importance of getting to know your body and checking your chest regularly. In a year where we have seen an increase in our audience expressing that they would delay visiting their GP because of a fear of catching Coronavirus and believing they are not a priority for the NHS, starting these important conversations about early detection could save lives.”
